Tiny Tots Piano Program (TTPP)

"All children are born musical. Planting the musical seed in young children in the early years, parents and teachers act as the “gardeners” who provide a suitable environment and nurturing to enable the seed to grow and develop to its full potential."

                                       -  Principal Karrie Tam

"The Tiny Tots Piano Program isn’t just a piano program; it has truly helped my 2-year-old son in so many ways. While we’re not planning or training him to become a pianist, we believe that piano classes are a wonderful way to help develop his cognitive skills, creativity, coordination, and concentration on learning. We’ve been part of the program for almost a year now, and the progress has been incredible. When we first started, my son couldn’t sit still or follow the teacher’s instructions. Now, he can concentrate for the entire lesson and even use one finger to play piano notes! It’s been amazing to witness his growth, and we’re so grateful for everything the program has offered."

This 30-minute class is for 2 to 5-year-olds accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The TTPP curriculum is an interactive program using the “tiny piano” with 25 keys and piano sound, and the piano’s size is suitable for toddlers' and preschoolers’ cognitive development and physical growth. TTPP is a RMS Special Program that prepares young musicians (Age2-5) with a foundation for one-on-one lessons.

The teacher will teach the students about musical elements like notes, beats, intonation, and tone. In addition to playing tunes on the tiny piano, students will engage in a fun and creative class atmosphere that includes movement, singing, and large muscle activities.

The small class size (maximum 4 at RMS and maximum 6 at RCCA) guided by our Early Childhood Music teachers allows for more time and attention for individualized instruction and structured activities. There is one piano for every student in the class.
