Welcoming the Board of Directors for 2024-2025

GINNA NG, President

Ginna joined the RMS Board in 2008 and has served as the President since 2018. As an alumna of RMS, she holds the ARCT, LTCL, and LRSM diplomas in piano performance. Ginna currently works as the Vice President, Finance at a private equity firm, and has extensive experience in growth, strategy, and financial planning for companies of all sizes. She is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) with a diversified background in Electrical Engineering, Forensic Accounting, and Business Law.

ANNIE LEUNG, Vice President 

Annie is with the RMS Board since 2008 and has served in different capacity in the Board prior to being reappointed as the Vice President. As a parent of a RMS alumnus, she is a long-term supporter of the School’s events and concerts. In her professional role, Annie is a seasoned program administrator at a community based social service agency and has many years of experience in the non-profit sector. She brings to the school her strong connection with the local charities in the Lower Mainland.

ANISSA KHAN, Treasurer

Anissa is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in public sector financial management, strategic planning, and consulting, currently serving as a Senior Financial Analyst at the City of Vancouver. She holds a Master of Global Management and an MBA in Finance. Anissa is a passionate advocate for arts education, particularly in empowering youth to explore creativity and self-expression. Through her volunteer work with arts organizations like the Victoria Symphony and Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Anissa has actively supported initiatives that make arts education accessible to all. Her commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community engagement reflects her dedication to professional excellence and giving back to her community.

KATHY CHEN, Secretary

Kathy joined the RMS Board in 2020 and has recently been elected as its Secretary. She has a wide array of experience in marketing and business strategy, occupying senior management positions in a number of companies in the service industry. She is currently the Director for Marketing and Communications of a global company engaged in the travel business. She has an undergraduate degree in Management, a master’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Marketing, and is currently working towards a doctorate’s degree in Marketing.

PATRICK CAMERON, Director

Patrick Cameron became a member of the RMS Board in 2024. He brings a wealth of experience in strategy and project management, having served in leadership positions across several industries in British Columbia and Ontario. As a Strategy Consultant, Patrick focuses on crafting growth strategies to help businesses expand efficiently. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA, leveraging his expertise to drive sustainable growth and organizational success.

JUANNA CHAN, Director

Juanna has been on RMS Board since 2018 and served as the Treasurer between 2018 and 2022. Previously worked as the Tax Manager at a Big Four accounting firm and later on as the Financial Controller for an online business, she is now running her own accounting practice that provides accounting and tax services to individuals and businesses. Juanna is an active volunteer at various local charities and holds a professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA).

MARTIN LAU, Director 

Martin joined the RMS Board in 2022 and served as the Treasurer between 2022 and 2024.  He is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) with a diversified experience in government, natural gas utility, construction, and private industries. He is currently the Controller of a manufacturing company with products distributed across Canada, United States, and Australia. Martin is a music lover and an active volunteer at a local church. He likes to connect people with music.

MICHELLE LUI, Director

Michelle is new to the RMS Board. She comes from a diverse healthcare background as a registered Occupational Therapist (MOT, MPH, CCLCP) with public and private sector experience. As a Regional Practice Initiatives Lead, she provides leadership to occupational therapists and allied health professionals in the local health authority. She is actively involved in quality improvement and research projects and enjoys giving back to the community.

GALLANT MA, Director

Gallant joined the RMS Board since 2020 and is a professional accountant (CPA, CA) with comprehensive experience in both public practice and industry. He is currently the Regional Director of Finance at the largest automobile group in Canada and has solid leadership experience in change management, corporate finance, and accounting transitions. Gallant is an enthusiast in classical music and has passed several grade exams under the ABRSM syllabus. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA.
