Safety and Health Policies

May 15, 2023 (updated)

Richmond Music School Health and Safety Policies:

Although the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Covid-19 pandemic is over on May 5, 2023, we recognize that there are individuals still with varying degrees of comfort, and we ask our community to be kind, considerate and respect others.

As of January 23, 2023, masks will no longer be required at RMS and will become a matter of personal preference.

Safety and Health Recommended Protocols:

Although we have updated the safety and health policy, we encourage everyone in the RMS community to continue to

practice certain health and safety protocols as below:

1) Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up students at the main entrance.  Do not enter the building unless you need to.

2) Before entering the studios, Students should wash their hands, and after the lesson, students are recommended to wash hands before leaving the school, or use the hand sanitizers that are on the walls of the lobby.

3) All piano keyboards are cleaned and disinfected before the lesson and after with hydrogen peroxide by the teacher.

4) If anyone is feeling sick, please stay home, and contact our office and your teacher as soon as possible to inform you will not be attending the lesson. Your lesson may be cancelled or rescheduled for a make up lesson if enough notice is given. For further details, please refer to our school policy that is posted on our website or refer to the terms and conditions in our current registration form.
